Application Forms and Procedures

Submit Comments on Judicial Applicants or the Selection Process

The Judicial Council screens applicants who want to be judges. The Council invites your comments on current judicial vacancies.

You have the option of signing your name. Providing your name tends to give comments more credibility with the Council. The Council does not consider unsigned comments unless they are corroborated, independently substantiated, or acknowledged by the applicant. Your name will not be provided to the applicant. Comments will be shared with the applicant only after the comments have been edited to remove information that might identify you.

Please send your comments to SDiPietro@ajc.state.ak.us

Need Survey Assistance?

Missed the survey deadline and still want to comment on an applicant?

The Council accepts comments after the deadline. Providing your name is optional and is never given to the applicant. If you wish to identify yourself to the Council, be sure to note it on your email to postmaster@ajc.state.ak.us.

Electronic survey questions?

If you have questions about the survey, please contact Ashley Hannigan at the UAA Institute of Social and Economic Research at ahannigan@alaska.edu or (907)786-5441.

Not receiving surveys or have a change in your email and mailing address?

Be sure that your preferred email and mailing address is current with the Alaska Bar Association (907)272-7469. It also is beneficial to add ajc@Qemailserver.com to your trusted sites to prevent the surveys being blocked as spam.
